About Us

The Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA) is a provincial agency that brings an objective perspective to Alberta’s health system, pursuing opportunities to improve person-centred care, patient safety and health service quality for Albertans.

Learn more about what we do and our work at www.hqca.ca.

We are funded by the Alberta government and guided by the Health Quality Council of Alberta Act. We work with patients and the public, those who provide healthcare, and the government. The HQCA uses information about the health of Albertans and the health system to study, report on, and work with our partners to promote and improve high quality and safe person-centred care.
